We strive to create an inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment where women from varied backgrounds, including new immigrants, refugees, those from battered societies, and those re-entering the workforce, can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Mission

EmpowerHer is steadfast in its commitment to uplift and empower all women in Canada through an array of support services and programs. We are on a mission to:

  1. Offer Comprehensive Support: Extend settlement help and holistic support to new immigrant and refugee women, enabling a seamless and informed adaptation to life in Canada.

  2. Facilitate Learning Opportunities: Provide educational resources and financial assistance, unlocking the doors to learning and self-enhancement for every woman.

  3. Enable Workforce Reintegration: Develop nuanced programs tailored to assist women in acquiring essential skills and opportunities, aiding their re-entry into the workforce after sabbaticals or life-altering events.

  4. Support Survivors: Reach out to women from battered societies and demographics, offering them a safe haven, counseling, and the necessary support to rebuild their lives.

  5. Create Inclusive Communities: Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages mutual support, collaboration, and respect among women from diverse backgrounds and life situations.

  6. Champion Women’s Rights: Advocate fervently for gender equality, women’s rights, and societal reforms, raising awareness about the myriad issues women face and working towards a more balanced and just society.

What We’ve Achieved

  • Empowerment Workshops and Training: Successfully conducted 200+ empowerment workshops and training sessions, impacting over 5,000 women from diverse backgrounds.

  • Education Grants: Awarded educational grants to 300+ deserving women, facilitating their pursuit of higher education and skill development.

  • Settlement Assistance: Provided comprehensive settlement assistance to over 1,000 immigrant and refugee women, aiding their smooth transition into Canadian society.

  • Employment Integration Programs: Launched and executed employment integration programs that have helped over 2,000 women to re-enter the workforce, with specialized support for those returning after a sabbatical.

  • Support for Survivors: Established safe spaces and support services for 500+ women from battered societies, offering counselling, legal aid, and rehabilitation support.

  • Community Building: Fostered a strong, supportive community, organizing monthly meetups and events that have brought together 10,000+ women to share, learn, and support each other.

  • Advocacy and Awareness: Led numerous awareness campaigns on women’s rights and gender equality, reaching over a million people and advocating for policy changes at various levels of government.

  • Skill Development Programs: Initiated skill development programs focusing on digital literacy, financial management, and entrepreneurship, empowering 1,500+ women to become self-reliant.
